Description
In this simulation you control all traffic in the Colchester area, from Marks Tey in the west to Manningtree in the east, and including St Botolphs and the Clacton branch as far as just east of Hythe. The simulation is set before nationalisation had brought much in the way of changes; Great Eastern classes are still much in evidence. Most services in the area continued largely as they had done for decades past. Goods traffic originated from most of the wayside stations and branches, and had to be marshalled at the Colchester yard, and also at Marks Tey and Manningtree. The shunting of both goods and passenger traffic will keep you very busy at times; trains may have short turn-round times, especially at Colchester and St Botolphs. The nature of the traffic changes somewhat on a Saturday, with extras to the coast resorts, particularly Clacton, and less goods traffic during the day. Sunday is rather quieter. This simulation has five track screens.
